(Nancy Wilson Tribute) The Show

To Sweet Nancy with Love is  a celebration of jazz and pop stlyist Nancy Wilson's recent 80th birthday in February of 2017.  It pays homage to Wilson and her prolific discography of standards, pop, jazz, blues, Broadway show tunes, adult contemporary, R&B and soul-tinged music.

Backed by a flawless rhythm section, in To Sweet Nancy with Love, Rabun takes audeince members through Wilson's catologue from the late 1950s all the way through the 90s.  The show even includes a cabaret section that features musicians and audience members as Rabun conveys stories behind standards such as  “Dearly Beloved,” “Guess Who I Saw Today,” and the Grammy winning, “How Glad I Am” among other classics of song stylist, Nancy Wilson.

"The Band, Nancy Wilson's Music and Yolanda were Perfect.
We started our Fall Series on a High Note! "

The Show (Nina Simone Tribute)

The Sounds of Nina Simone will take you on a journey through Classical, Folk, Jazz, Broadway, Blues, Spiritual and Pop songs that defined the genius of Nina Simone. Before she was crowned the high priestess of Soul, you will become intimately familiar and entertained by Simone’s love and appreciation for Bach, Billie Holiday and popular Broadway and off-Broadway recordings that speak of love, compassion and a yearning to live freely.

The Sounds of Nina Simone recommends a guest symphony or skilled orchestra to round out the program with hand-picked selections of influential classical music from Nina Simone’s favorite composer, Bach.  Renowned Guest Conductor, William Henry Curry, is available as a show option.

With a storytelling element, Ms. Rabun performs a high-energy not-to-be-missed versatile concert of  the The Sounds of Nina Simone with her trio and the orchestra to include the iconic "I Loves You Porgy" to the sultry "I Put A Spell on You" and beyond.

The musical and visual spectacle that also features  select scenes from What Happened, Miss Simone?  is sure to leave any audience “Feeling Good”.
